There were 19 entrants vying for the one New Zealand spot at the New South Wales Dart Masters being held in Wollongong on 19th and 20th August 2022.
Play consisted of straight knockout best of 11 legs.
Semi Finals comprised of Haupai Puha playing Landon Gardiner, Haupai took out the first leg and Landon the second. Haupai won the third and fourth, both players scoring very well. Landon with some big scores took out the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth legs. Haupai come back taking the ninth, tenth and eleventh legs and the match 6 – 5.
Semi Final two was between Ben Robb and Alan Skayman, Ben took out the first three legs, with Alan coming back hitting a 180 and winning the fourth and fifth legs. Ben took out the sixth and started off the seventh leg with a 140 and finishing on 78 to take the eighth. Ninth Leg Ben scored 100, 96, 134, 131, 20, 20 to take out the match, winning 6 – 2.
